Wow, its nearly a year since I wrote the blog post about leaving South Africa for our world tour in 2007. This year has just gone by so fast. For me, it is the last 10 days of school of Grade 11 (the hardest though) and then my final matrik year. Im going to be appling for a place at the University of Cape Town hopefully at the begining of 2009 in hopes of getting accepted into the Commerce sector (Economics to be more specific).
I am going to be doing some heavy work on my company during the Nov - Jan holidays - more specifically my management system. See my previous post regarding this [ http://www.noelharrison.net/archives/35 ] - things have changed since that blog post. The system now has a built in e-commerce section which links into PayPal or Secure Delivery. It allows for parent pages, sub parent pages and normal pages too.
We are going to be working on a lower range / priced product at SpinningYourWeb which will be launched in early December.
The holidays will be a nice break from school and will be great for getting some early morning and late evening work done (those are the best times to be working
). Im going away during early december up to Wilderness (Garden Route) so that will be fun and I hope to get a bit of work done in the evenings there. Maybe I will find some more clients up there
What do you intent on doing in the holidays, when do you most prefer working?

Hi there,
So it has been a while since my last blog post. I recently installed Vista again - after I made up my mind to get rid of it a few months ago. Then service pack 1 was released so I am using it again. It was so easy to install, nothing like xp or lower -> good graphical interface right the way through.
I am considering getting another GB of ram to help run things a bit faster - currently have 1 GB. Internet Explorer - which I am using - shocking I know - is in fact alot more stable than Internet Explorer running on a XP machine.
I am going to be starting an IT assignment for this Term soon - on the mobile world - any ideas? - I was thinking to go general and do the entire topic, but I dont think that I have the time to do that volume of research and so on.
For those who are interested in learning a bit of Java - there is a very cool website - (Not the greatist looking) but still cool website that gives you assignments to do and then accesses your code online - visit javabat.com for more information.
Anyway, thats all for now,
Noel

Celeste and Loren Davis are Missionaries in Africa and can shed some light on one of our Presidential candidates. Thanks for sending out an alert about Obama. We are living and working in Kenya for almost twelve years now and know his family (tribe) well. They are the ones who were behind the recent Presidential election chaos here. Thousands of people have been displaced by election violence(over 350,000) and I don’t know the last count of the dead.

Obama under ‘friends of Obama’ gave almost a million dollars to the opposition campaign who just happened to be his cousin, Raila Odinga, who is a socialist trained in east germany. He has been trying to bring Kenya down for years and the last president threw him in prison for trying to subvert this country! December 27th elections brought cries from ODM (Odinga Camp) of rigged election. Obama and Raila speak daily. As we watch Obama rise in the US we are sure that whatever happens, he will use the same tactic, cyring rigged election if he doesn’t win and possibly cause a race war in America.

What we would like you to know is what the american press has been keeping a dirty little secret. Obama IS a muslim and he IS a racist and this is a fulfillment of the 911 threat that was just the beginning. Jihad is the only true muslim way. We have been working with them for 20 years this july! He is not an american as we know it. Please encourage your friends and associates not to be taken in by those that are promoting him. It is world wide jihad. All our friends in Europe are very disturbed by the muslim infiltration into their countries. By the way. His true name is Barak Hussein Muhammed Obama. Won’t that sound sweet to our enemies as they swear him in on the Koran!
God Bless you.

Pray for us here in Kenya. We are still fighting for our nation to withstand the same kind of assult that every nation, including America, is fighting. Takeover from the outside to fit the new world order. As believers, this means we will be the first targets. Here in Kenya, not one mosque was burned down , but hundreds of churches were burned down, some with people in them, burned alive.

Yes, another social network, can you believe it. Yahoo! has decided to call it mash. The reasoning for creating this social network according to Yahoo! News is to create more advertising opportunities. Ari Balogh - Yahoo’s chief technology officer said that Yahoo! was going to rewrite the entire experience at Yahoo to make it social in every dimension.
It has been said that users will be able to add application rather known as widgets to their Yahoo pages. This is no different from Facebook or other larger social network providers. Yahoo hopes to make money from the social networking craze, and is attempting to make it easier for its user’s to connect with friends and family.
The timing for this change to Yahoo has not yet been determined , but according to Balogh, it will be before the end of the year. They suggest that if Yahoo is taken over by the Microsoft Corp, this project could be derailed.
Well, for now we will have to wait and see what happens!

This is the second blog that I have attempted to run. You would think that it is easy. Well, it is - just time consuming.
In this first post Im going to put a quick update of what I have been working on for the last few months:
- Late January got back to South Africa from a world tour - Ill upload the images sometime on a new page
- Returned to my 11th year - Mathematics a lot harder than 10th
- In March, my website design company signed a exclusive marketing contract for the marketing of a brilliant software package
- Went on holiday for three weeks (School holiday - not work holidays) - and got a full student system developed and sold to a training center in Stellenbosch - more new on this to come
- Returned to school and got ready to write early year exams - Lots of papers
- Today - finnished the last two papers - Economics and Afrikaans 2
- Today - bought this domain and installed wordpress
Please understand, this blog is still under development and thanks to the influence from Tim Keller and Jonathan Wagener it is here today (www.timokeller.net) and (www.espresso-online.info)
And then some other general stuff: Who has been watching the whole Yahoo / Microsoft battle and the Zimbabwe crisis? - Ill do a few post about this sometime:)
For now,
Cheerio
